Why do wooden products for export need to be fumigated?

If the exported goods are packaged in natural wood, the IPPC should be marked according to the destination country of the export. For example, if the goods exported to the European Union, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and other countries are packaged in coniferous wood, they must be fumigated. . The fumigation is now standardized, and the fumigation team will fumigate the container according to the container number, that is, after the goods arrive at the site, the professional fumigation team will mark the IPPC mark on the package. (Customs declarant) Fill in the fumigation contact form, which shows the customer name, country, box number, and used chemicals, etc. → (fumigation team) labeling (about half a day) → fumigation (24 hours) → powder medicine (4 hours).

(1) Fumigation can be divided into full box fumigation, LCL fumigation, and full box fumigation

1. There is no need to add the “IPPC” mark. After the goods arrive at the site, they are packed directly, and the fumigation team is notified to fumigate. According to the destination country, different levels of fumigant agents are sprayed, which are divided into CH3BR and PH3. If the customer has no special requirements, the fumigation team Spray CH3BR agent and fumigate for 24 hours.

2. Need to add “IPPC” logo: After the goods are delivered to the venue, they will first land on the venue, and the customs broker will be notified of the location where the goods will land. The fumigation team will put the words “IPPC” on the front and back of each package, and then arrange the venue for packing. Then fumigate.

3. Fumigate the packaging: Submit the inspection documents to the customs for commodity inspection, and then fumigate the packaging specially.

LCL fumigation: For the fumigation of LCL goods, they can be fumigated in the same container, but the following four conditions must be met at the same time:

1. The same port of destination

2. Same country

3. Same voyage

4. Apply for inspection at the same commodity inspection bureau

(2) Some requirements for fumigation

1. Fumigation time: Fumigation must reach 24 hours. After fumigation, the fumigation team will put a fumigation logo with a skull logo on the cabinet door. After 24 hours, the fumigation team removed the label, and it took 4 hours to dissipate the poison before they could arrange to enter the port. If the time for dispelling the poison is not enough, closing the cabinet door may cause damage to the goods. At present, there are three fumigation teams in Dalian working on the site, and there is a lot of work, so it is better to fumigate two days in advance to be safer. For the goods that need commodity inspection for export, the goods must be delivered at the latest two days before the cut-off time of the shipping schedule. site.

2. Requirements for packaging: Wooden packaging must not have bark and insect eyes. If there is bark on the wooden packaging, the general customs broker will help the customer to shovel off the bark; if insect eyes are found, the consignor needs to be notified to replace the package. After fumigation, if a fumigation certificate is required, it is used for customs clearance at the port of destination, and cannot be reissued after the goods leave. (It is recommended that all customers issue this certificate).

1) Label content IPPC is the International Plant Protection Convention. According to the 2005 No. 4 Announcement of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of my country, since March 1, 2005, the products with wooden packaging exported to the European Union, the United States, Canada, Australia and other countries For the goods, the wooden packaging shall be stamped with the special logo of IPPC. (except plywood, particleboard, fiberboard, etc.)

2) Fill out the fumigation contact form and wait for the quarantine personnel to sign before fumigation, otherwise the fumigation team will not fumigate.

3) Fumigation agent: CH3BR (generally)

4) When filling out the inspection form, if the goods need to be marked, fill in the “Remarks”.
